REMS (Radiofrequency Echographic Multi Spectrometry) is an FDA-cleared, ultrasound technology that measures both bone mineral density and bone quality. Unlike DEXA scans, REMS uses ultrasound and can be performed in approximately 20 minutes with same-day results.
DEXA scans use X-rays and measure only bone mineral density (BMD). REMS uses ultrasound and measures both BMD and bone quality. REMS also reports a Fragility Score and a 5-year fracture risk estimate alongside the T-score.
No referral is required. You can book your REMS bone health assessment directly through our website. However, we recommend sharing your results with your primary care provider or specialist for integrated care.
REMS assessments are not typically covered by traditional health insurance. However, you can use HSA (Health Savings Account) or FSA (Flexible Spending Account) funds to pay for your assessment. We accept all major credit and debit cards.

Your doctor recommended a DEXA, but you want more than a density number. REMS measures bone quality — the microarchitecture that determines whether bones bend or break. Track your HRT or supplement effectiveness every 6 months, safely.
