THE SILENT EPIDEMIC
Osteoporosis affects tens of millions of Americans, yet the vast majority remain unscreened. Traditional screening methods are limited, inaccessible, and measure only half the picture.

54 million Americans are affected, yet fewer than 1 in 4 eligible women receive screening. Traditional DEXA scans require hospital visits, use radiation, and measure only bone density — missing the critical bone quality data that determines true fracture risk. There is a better way.
THE TECHNOLOGY
REMS — Radiofrequency Echographic Multi-Spectrometry— is an FDA-cleared ultrasound technology developed by Echolight Medical that measures both bone mineral density (BMD) and bone microarchitectural quality without any radiation exposure.
During a REMS scan, a small ultrasound probe is placed at your lumbar spine and femoral neck — the same sites measured by DEXA. Advanced spectral analysis software processes the raw echo signals in real time, generating a comprehensive bone health profile that goes far beyond what X-ray-based density alone can reveal.
The Echolight device is portable — the size of a small suitcase — enabling REMS scanning in any clinic or wellness setting, not just hospital radiology departments. The entire assessment takes approximately 20 minutes, results are available the same day, and because there is zero radiation, scans can be repeated as often as clinically needed.
Your bone mineral density compared to a healthy 30-year-old. The primary metric for diagnosing osteoporosis (≤ −2.5) and osteopenia (−1.0 to −2.5).
Age-matched comparison showing how your bone density ranks among peers of the same age, sex, and body size. Especially important for pre-menopausal women and men under 50.
A REMS-exclusive metric assessing bone microarchitecture quality and 5-year fracture probability. Reveals why some people with “normal” density still fracture. DEXA cannot provide this.
Your personalized fracture probability calculated from both density and quality data — a more complete risk picture than density-only models like FRAX.
HEAD-TO-HEAD COMPARISON
Both technologies measure bone density. Only one measures bone quality.

WHY HALL\u0112
Other providers offer a scan and a report. HALL\u0112 delivers an integrated bone health experience that turns data into action.
HALLĒ is the first multi-location REMS scanning network in the United States. Standardized protocols, certified technicians, and consistent quality across every location.
Every scan generates a custom action plan — not a generic brochure. Your protocol includes targeted nutrition, movement, and supplement guidance built specifically from your scan data.
Our proprietary AI system analyzes 58+ bone health markers to identify patterns and correlations that a single scan report cannot capture. Your bone health, contextualized.
Your bone health journey tracked over months and years with visual progress dashboards. See exactly how your protocols, nutrition, and lifestyle changes are impacting your bones.
No hospital gowns. No radiology department waiting rooms. HALLĒ locations are designed as warm, welcoming wellness environments where bone health is a priority, not an afterthought.
Your comprehensive report — T-score, Z-score, Fragility Score, fracture risk, and personalized recommendations — is reviewed with you before you leave. No waiting days for a callback.
YOUR SCAN IN 5 STEPS
Schedule your assessment online in 60 seconds. Choose your preferred HALLĒ location and time.
Check in at your wellness location. Wear comfortable clothing — no gowns, no hospital environment.
A certified technician performs a 20-minute ultrasound of your lumbar spine and hip. Painless. Zero radiation.
Receive your T-score, Z-score, Fragility Score, and 5-year fracture risk assessment — the same day.
Your personalized bone health protocol — nutrition, movement, and supplement guidance — is built from your results.
CLINICAL VALIDATION
In October 2024, NASA began using Echolight REMS devices to monitor bone health in human spaceflight simulation studies. The device’s portability and zero radiation make it ideal for monitoring astronaut bone loss in microgravity.
PR Newswire, October 2024→In November 2024, Echolight signed a multi-year reseller agreement with Siemens Healthineers — one of the world’s largest medical device companies — to distribute REMS bone densitometers as part of their Women’s Health solutions.
PR Newswire, November 2024→REMS accuracy has been validated in multiple peer-reviewed studies including a multicenter study of 4,300+ subjects demonstrating 90%+ sensitivity and 95%+ specificity for osteoporosis diagnosis at both femoral neck and lumbar spine.
